Can someone explain to me how a rim wider than the tread will give you any advantage.I have talked to the tire manufactures and they just laugh. They have spent a ton of money on reasearch on rim width and tire pressure.I just witnessed a pull at Paris ,Illinois Sunday the man that won the most had 15.5 on 14in. rims. The wide rims weigh more and are more flexible if you don't get the centers in the middle of the rim. Just my 2 cents .Have fun!! Earl

I have 14.9's on a 11 in. rim and they do fine I have never had a problem and always get a good footprint on the ground.

I just put my 14.9 F&R on 14" rims. They still crown some.In my opinion 11" is way to narrow.

I would'nt do it. I have 12.4's on 11" wheels and want to build some 13's. The wider the wheel the more tire on the ground. Hope this helps you out. chad
