If your looking a terrific tractor pull this friday go to the Deerfield Fair in Deerfield NH. I heard they are using the Rude Awakening sled. I was told it is a Thumb truck sled. There is going to be 150 + tractors there. There are going to be 2 divisions Antique stock and Farm Stock. the pull is from 3,000 to 16,000 lbs. There will be a dyno there and you will have a 10% over hp tolerance in the Antique Stock and 15% over hp on Farm Stock. You can call the Deerfield Fairgrounds in Deerfield NH.for rules.

been pullin' at Deerfield for years, but not this year. there's gonna be o% over for stock and you cant even adjust your hitch height! got to have original air cleaner too, and of course original exhaust. But in the farm stock anything goes! be ready for the dyno! pull at 60% over RPM's then open her up only half way to get checked. None of the guys that I pull with in NH and VT are going this year. They'll probably get twenty or thirty guys from Maine who are set up to pull that way.

my rules say you are allowed 10% over hp in the Antique Stock class and 15% over hp in the farm stock class. I always felt that if you wanted to see how competitive your tractor is you would want to pull against the best competition available. Besides I always thought it was a good time talking to people and seeing people I havn't seen for a long time. I like to win as much as anyone but my goal is to do the best I can and have fun doing it. There must be some other reason why you are not going because win or lose it is a good group of people and a good time.

yes flyin' I like to hang out with my pulling friends, which is why I'm going to be in front of the camp fire in Sandown instead of at Deerfield.Its not about winning because I've never left Deerfield without at least one trophy or plaque and I dont have the power that others do to do well on the clay at Sandown. There are two problems with Deerfield: 1 the rules are too different from every other pull in NH and VT 2 there is just too much debate,anger,hard feelings and near fighting because of those rules for it to be enjoyable for many of us. So I will let someone else have my Deerfield Plaques this year and go pull in Sandown with 150 others.

I would like to know what kind of tractor you pull to win all those plaques at deerfield. I don't believe you won any. But it sure sounds good with a faceless post on this discussion board. So lets here what kind of tractor you pull or what weight classes.

i have pulled in deerfield for the past few years and untill they get rid of the people who run the pull i will not be back. the weight classes this year are terrible i have 4 tractors i pull in 2500lb. class i love to pull and have a good time but you can not do that in deerfield

I also have pulled at the deerfield fair for years and have no plans to return till they get rid of the people who run the pull. Not fun when they play favorites and mix modified tractors in with the stock ones. When you get done pulling at deerfield come to sandown and hang with a really great bunch of people who love to pull for FUN! You wont be disappointed

I don't believe you why would you not be willing to discoles at least what class you pull in. You have a lot of negative to say but won't give your argument any credibility. Anyone can say they win but only one person wins per class. Ken says they let modified tractors pull with stock ones but the rules this year seperate Antique stock from Farm stock. I believe the dyno levels the field a lot more than a rpm check. I could make all the power I wanted with an rpm rule buy stroking the engine. But I can't with a dyno. I think you guys like to determine stock in your mind. One of your guys has a electic fan pumped up moter over size tires cement sharpened tires and you treat that as stock. It sure sounds you are stock because you don't win but everybody else that beats you must be modified. I sure you say to yourself "i'm cheating and he's beating me so he really must be cheating". I think the biggest problem is your a bunch of wontaby pullers who can't win and blame everybody else. Stock is stock. The way it came from the factory. Anything else is modified or not stock, why is that so hard to figure out.
