Took my W-9 to a pull this weekend, sat and watched the pull all day and finaly my class pulled (45-50 HP) The sled had 25000 lbs on the cart and as my class came on the line they put another 5000 on the pan, I backed up to the sled and hooke on and pulled the slack out of the chane. had very low rpms and let out on the clutch, I sware it was like being on ICE, No traction at all!! I had 900 lbs on my rear platform, 600 on the wheels, 1000 on the sides and 160 on the nose. Any ideas on what i did wrong or was it just the luck of the draw?? PS When the next class pulled, same weight on sled, first puller spun out also and they put the wheels down and raised the pan and he repulled. Thanks TR

Well.. U are right about the sled.. The main problem is the type of pulling that was at the pull U went too.. (Hamilton Pull.) We took the 70D and the R to this pull.. the 70D standard pull in Class 6 which I think was the class under you.. It weighs over 9000lbs empty.. and about 13,000lbs weighted... Your tractor was not your problem, U just don't have enough weight on the tractor.. I don't normally pull these type of pulls, and leave the G at home for these HP classes pulls.. but take my 70D standard.. it does OK.. I just hate pouring on all that weight.. but usually pull non wieghted and weighted.. We just have more fun at the weight class type pulls... The track was like glass.. very hard.. it needed some water.. I left black marks on the track every pull.. Oh well.. just went to see some good friends... JDGnut

Dad and I had a great time at the show, I agree the track was to hard and i think they must have had some of the classes wrong, I was in class 8 weighted. And they had dad pulling His W-4 in class 5 with super M Farmalls. It was still a good show and we had fun, But i guess that is just the game of pulling. I could see that the JDs were leading the field in good pulls. The Ladies were giveing everyone a good fight also. TR
