I have a bone stock Farmall 300 row crop that I want to start pulling. It has a wide front end, fast hitch, 15.5-38 tires with no fluid in them and one set of one piece rear wheel weights on it. What does it weight approximately and where would be a good place to put more weight if I need it? I will be pulling on a dirt track but we do have a blacktop pull one town over in August.

Dad's 350 with fast hitch, no weights, narrow front is around 5400#'s. So you might be in the 5500-5900 lb range with what you described. If it has enough go power, you may need front end weight, but not much, maybe up to 100 lbs to keep it on the ground till it dies off. Never had to pull the TA, but it was working hard in high range 1st gear. Its had some work done to it though! If you use it aon the farm, disregard what Im gonna say,, but if not, then you need to take off the fast hitch, this will get ya lighter, and be able to put on wheel weights to get ya back up to the weight youre at with the fast hitch,,,, one problem we had on the 300-350 was the cast centers,,, the clamps come loose on the axle, so we replace the two half clamp with a single piece clamp off a H to help hold it in place and be stronger. Worked real good on the 350 and the M with 560 cast hubs on it. Hope this helps, but sounds like its a little on the heavy side. ChadS
