Hello, I just bought a Allis WC in need of engine work. Since I have o rebuild it anyway I was thinking of hoping it up some.I just have a few questions. If I put a WD 45 crank in is there a different piston that I can put in it. A automotive piston that someone is using in these. Also should I put a WD 45 head on it and if so what valves should i put in to it? Also if the compression goes up a lot do I have to change the starter? The distbutor will have a electroinic ignition in it. What carb should i run and what should I grind the cam to? I there anywhere I can get a header for the tractor? I will run the tractor on race fuel so the compression ratio is not a concern. Any help you can give I appreciated anything that you think I forgot. Thanks a lot guys.

use the 4 1/8 wc flattop pistons, use the tall wd45 head and use the same valves and do a 3 angle valve job on them, use the same carb and call mr tommy richardson in nc and he will grind your cam and aslo ask him what else to do and you will have one bad little allis. he told me what to do to my wd45 and it pulls very good with severl first place finishes.

the racing fuel isn't going to do you any good unless you have a compression of 10:1 or higher, I put high compression pistons in mine and it didn't do any difference. best bet is 91 octane

what most of the guys in this area is doing running a Gleaner E combine motor. The one I had was 55hp.It fits in with minor work and is very reliable.
