new to pulling,second season. would smaller 15 inch tires and rims make much difference over the 16 inch. have cut the hitch so it meets the 18 inch min. and have adjustmrnts for heights. thanks.

Can I assume you mean 15.5X38 vs 16.9X38? A lot depends on what weight class, cut tires or not, and type of dirt/track you'll be pulling on. 4500# and up I'd proibably go with the bigger tire. 4000# could go either way. Mike

sorry about the confusion, i am looking at changing the fornt tires to lower the front end. i have firestone 13.6 x 38's on the rear. last year it would get off the ground to fast.look to slow that down and maybe get allittle futher down the track.thanks

Pulled a similiar set-up on a 77 with 400x15's on the front. Bought from Miller. If I remember it lowered the bolster area about 2 inches.

Yes, you can put 15" tires and rims on the front. it will lower it a little, and you will drop almost 30 lbs.
