Is there any new information regarding the KOM pull usually held at the Portersville Steam Show grounds in August? Will it still be held there or is it moved?

Hi Gary,
Flew to Texas a couple weekends ago and rented a truck. Drove up to Oklahoma and picked up a new dog then drove to Indiana and got my new parts and then back to PA. Parts are NICE!!!
Now I just have to get busy with this thing. Waiting on an industrial front end I bought a couple months ago in Minnesota. Fellow hauling it and about 3 tons of weights for me hasn't rounded up a load my way yet. Want to swap front ends before I start putting the motor back together. Have plenty of other work to keep me busy in the meantime. Still gonna be pushing it to have it ready for the K.O.T.Mountain pull. Might need to take a couple weeks off somewhere down the road and go at it heavy. Have to clean and paint everything while I'm apart this far and that sure does take time. Hope I can remember how all this goes back together. After together I have to figure out the rest of the details for sub-frame and get building it.
Worst case... next year. Really want to give it a couple test yanks before the pull also. Need some tweaking time.

If I get this done there will be a big green one at the pull. The pull just wasn't the same last year without the green ones to add that excitement of the red green rivalry thing. Regardless of who wins it gets everyone a lot more pumped up when more colors are represented. Especially red and green. Winning isn't a big accomplishment without a worthy opponent is it...

Hi,
I e-mailed the head shed of the Portersville Steam club about this a while back and the fellow said that it will indeed be held as usual at the steam show grounds. The club that used to pull there that operated the pull will be there to run it again.

It should be August 2nd I believe... But not positive.

Thanks RWOLFEJR, I enjoyed it immensely for the first time last year and will make plans to enjoy it again. Hopefully the BIG DEERE'S will be pulling this year.
