I called my local PPG dealer today and asked about PPG 71310. The individual colors are, per qt.: 296 parts red, 233 parts violet, 172 parts orange, 12 parts black. Then I had him cross the Dupont# 96766, that came back with 2 PPG #rs, 77920, which he couldnt get any info on, stated it was probably a discontinued laquor product, and 74181 which has 851 parts red, 144 parts orange, 82 parts violet, 58 parts "strong white" and 16 parts black. I guess the last combo is the lighter shade of red, with all that white in it.

The 74181 was a "Concept DCC" paint line. The 71310 line was of course Omni.

He said I could go to a different location, where the omni is mixed and get them to mix a small amount of 71310 and then mix another cup of 71310 with less orange in the mix. Think its worth it?

The numbers are the same as the ones I got last time I had 71310 mixed. Thus, they are what is supposed to go in the mix, I'm not sure they always do. One lady who used to mix PPG paint, says the computer is supposed to compensate for any errors the mixer makes -- I don't know how that works. My problem is not getting the same color (within a reasonable margin of error) each time. Again I think properly mixed 71310 is ok. So, I don't think there is any need to change the formula. Also, if you happen to be painting under flourescent lights it will look more orange than it really is.
