This winter got a JD 310 Backhoe. Now that the weather is better need to make it look nice.
Lots of rust, paint just peeling off! Need help in this project. I know about getting it down to bare metal in the rust spots and lighter sanding elsewhere where needed. Now #1 question, Is there a product before I prime to put on the very bad spots to help stop further rusting? #2 What is a good primer I should use? #3 Color code for paint (yellow)? #4 What kind of paint should I use and do I add anything to it? #5 Would like to paint black inside bucket and hoe but with something that dirt will flow out not stick to? #6 Clear coat important? Anything special I need to use please tell me where I can buy it. Step by step instructions on how do this project would be nice.
Thank You

If your not going to sandblast and prime properly Theres only one product to use. its called Por 15 and it will bind with the rust and prevent further rusting. you can find it at a dealer near you check the internet to find.
