Fiberglass removal help

I need some ideas how to remove sprayed in fiberglass form the spout on our Fox 3000. We had it done about 4 years ago because it had a few holes worn in it, and we had the other Fox's spout done a few years before that. The 1st one held up great and still looks good, but it was the cloth type fiberglass coated in resin, not the spray in type.

Long story short, the newer glass just didn't work out as good so I want to line it with a thin sheet of poly instead, but I need to get out the fiberglass first so I can also remove the metal liner that's in there and is the part that's really messed up.

How would a sandblaster work to chew it up? How good would the resin burn if I took a torch to it? I know it'll burn off in a fire, but what about under a torch? A chemical stripper? I really don't wanna have to grind it all out, that stuff is nasty to work with and the less dust the better.

Unfortunately, it's too big to try soaking it in a solution...

It's about 1/4" thick, so any suggestions are appreciated.
