Hi Sean,

Peter is searching any information about a Fiat 550. I know the 540 and ask him for more details. The details he sended me were not the same as for the 550. Do You know if Fiat built a tractor Type 550 appr. 50 PS built in 1972, color is orange, bore is 95 mm, stroke he didn'submit. You've problems with english? And what's about me? :)

Bernhard, Derichsweiler, Germany

I'm propriatary of a Fiat Someca 550 of 1970. This tractor is an Italian tractor built between 68 and about 72 it was replaced by the 600 and later by the 640. the Engine is a 4 cylinders 95 mm by 110 mm. If you need some informations I've got the repair manual, the instructions manual, and the spare parts catalogue. All is in French because I'm french!.
I have workind during 9 years in Fiat (agri) France. Frédéric

hello bernh,
as far as i can make out the 550 had a 95x110mm 4 cyl diesel. thats about 3 litres or 190 cubic inches. the 555 had the same size motor as well. the 900 had the same bore & stroke but had 6 cylinders. the 450 & 550 were closely related. the 540 was related to the 500-540-640 family. the 550 came out in the late 1960's. around 1969 i think. some manuals are available for this model. hope this helps,
regards, Manuel

Thanks for the translation. Yes Fiat made that tractor model in the early 70s. Pudding has info on it on his site.
