I inherited a 30" walk behind commercial lawn mower of which I have never heard of, nor seen another like it. It is powered by a 9HP, horizontal shaft Wisconsin engine, that more times than not, starts on the first pull from the manually wound rope. The blade is turned via a 2"wide flat belt that makes a 90 degree turn on 2 idler rollers that also act as the blade clutch. The self propelled wheels are driven from a transmission on the right side which bring me to the problem. The clutch disks are worn out & I need to find a replacement.
Has anyone ever heard of this beauty?
Thanks to anyone who can help w/ any info.

I have a friend who has a devere lawn mower and has the same trouble you have. Please let me know if you find any replacement disc or pads.

Bruce,

You might want to contact an automotive machine shop to see if they could reline the disks for you. I have found that this is almost always cheaper than finding new parts and you know that the parts will fit!

Sorry I can't help you with the origin of your machine.
