Going out to my Avery A next weekend and I'd like to make up a new set of plug wires (old type, wire strand). It has a magneto ignition. Problem is, I don't have the length of each wire and I'd like to make up a set here at home before I leave. Nobody is around out there to measure the old ones.

Also, are the wires supposed to route from the mag to the rear of the engine, then up to the plugs, OR do they leave the mag, then double back to the front and then up? I can't remember how it's set up on the tractor, I just picked it up last fall and I haven't been out this winter.

And, one last question. If I look at the mag from the back of the tractor (facing towards the front), which of the four mag terminals is the #1 outlet, top right, bottom right, bottom left, or top left?

Hope you can help.
