The General 'GG' was a wheeled version of the Cletrac HG. It was first made in 1939 and continued until about 1942. It was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) which made tracked tractors. It was painted yellow I think, and at the same time was distributed in Canada by Massey Harris, also as the Cletrac General, but painted a shade of orange (at least the one I saw this summer in the Milton, Ontario Museum was orange and it was in the Massey display). In '43, the tractors took on the Avery nameplate and were painted red. The General became the B.F. Avery model A, and later (with other Avery models) was bought out by Minneapolis Moline in the early 50's I think and painted yellow with MM decals, etc. I also have a book with a 1928-31 General 10-12 made by the General Tractor Co. in Cleveland and it's a real 'oldie'. There's a bit of info in this book if that's the one you're after, ask me in the Forum. By the looks of this drawing, it is a front wheeled (steel) drive and only weighed 1600 lbs so it was a tiny little rascal.
