can anyone tell me the correct paint codes for an Avery model V? I believe it is a 1953 model but am not sure if that makes a difference.

You can check the year of manufacture by comparing the serial number to those listed at the B.F. Avery Collector's and Associates web site. The serial number is located on the top of the right hand frame rail near the engine and clutch housing. It will read xVxxx the x's will be numbers. If it is a 1953 it might have been a Minneapolis Moline V since they bought out Avery in 1951-52 I think.

We tried to find the exact paint code when we restored ours and the only info we found was to
use candy apple red or tarter red light. We
used a candy apple red in a PPG brand paint
It turned out great

As Sherry said there are two NAPA paint color numbers listed at the B.F. Avery Collectors and Associates Web Site. I also have a Martin Senour number 99L-1637 that someone gave me for B.F. Avery Red. Someone tells me that Martin supplies paint to NAPA, so maybe it is the same as one of the numbers. Click on the link below to go to the site. Good Luck
