I have a 2 furrow plow which I bought with a
Ferguson TE20, there is a sticker on the side of
the plow indicating Wiard Plow company Batavia USA.
Is this a common make? Neither I nor my friends
had ever heard of it before. Can any one advise
when this company manufactured these plows or
any other info?

The Wiard company manufactured plows iand other farm implements in Batavia NY at a factory on Swan street until about 1955. The company's roots date back to prior to the time of the Civil War. They were one of the first all metal plows. When Massey Ferguson moved their combine plant from Batavia in the late 40s it spelled the end of Wiard Plow because M-H was their last remaining large customer. Unlike other manufacturers which made tractors and provided a ready made market the Wiard was a third party and you had to ask for it to speak.

I also have a WIARD 2-12 3pt plow I`ve been wanting some information about. From this discussion and searching the web I`ve found that it was most likely made in Batavia NY by the waird plow co. I can`t seem to make the connection what co they made the plow for. Was it made for Ferguson for the 9n,2n or TO20,TO30? Or possibly it was made for the Massey Harris 22? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks,Jim
