Does anyone know anything about the Tafe tractors? They seem to be a generic Massey Ferguson. The price is good and it seems to handle good. We have a good reliable dealer here, so I was just wondering if the tractor is any good. Thanks in advance for any info.

The Taft 5000 is the same as a 240 Massey Ferguson Tractor. It has a Prekins engine and the parts will interchange. They are not a reduced version of a Massey. This is a great tractor!

I just purchased a Tafe 45 DI 4WD. I don,t know enough about the tractor to talk about it, other than it starts & handles good. I read somewhere that in the begining Tafe's first tractors were manufactured under an agreement with Massey Ferguson. The 152 CID Simpson engine is a Perkins design and manufactured under an agreement with Perkins. I don't know if the Perkins 152 CID engine parts will interchange with the Simpson 152 CID engine. The dealer told me that Massey Ferguson owned 28% of Tafe. I also read that Tafe manufactured a couple of tractors for Massey Ferguson that was sold in the USA with a Massey Ferguson name. Go to www.tafetractors.com for more information.

Good Luck

I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE TRACTORS BUT I MYSELF AM THINKING OF PURCHASING ONE FROM A DEALER HERE IN DELAWARE OHIO. HE HAS TOLD ME IT IS THE SAME TRACTOR AS A MF BUT HAS A DIFFERANT FRONT GRILL AND LIGHTS. I AM VERY INTERESTED IN IMFORMATION ON TAFE TRACTORS
