The original subject was "Re: Jacobsen Chief Tractor early sixties".

I bought a old jacobsen it fits the description of the 1962. The cool thing about this tractor is it has a hydrolic bucket on the front that lifts up about 5 feet. I am amazed how it still runs and starts up in a split second. Thought someone would be interested. I also am interested if anyone has questions for me or pointers.

I know parts to those old Jacobsen"s are very hard to find now adays. When my 1964 Jacobsen Chief needed repaired, I searched every where and no one had the parts I needed.

After a week of searching, I did end up finding a company in Ohio who apparently acquired a large inventory of original Jacobsen Parts for tractors from the 1950s and 1960s. So if you ever need vintage Jacobsen tractor parts you can likely find them at EVERSHARP Power Equipment. Good luck and enjoy.
