Long 610. No trouble for 2600 hrs. Now--if iot sets two or three days without starting will start and run fine for about 3 seconds then die. Have to bleed out the air on top of pump then loosen inj. lines and pull it to bleed them. Tighten them up and it starts with the starter fine and runs perfect. I cna't see any leaks in the system except some drips from the pump now and then. Been doing that forever. Drips around kill shaft and the throttle shaft abit. Any ideas on this as I need to fix before winter as pulling will get to be a pain. Thanks LB

Well it could be getting air in anywhere from the fuel tank lines all the way to the injectors. Since you have that many hours on it with no problems, I would start at the lift pump. I had one go bad on my 2610 when it was new. Dealer put a new pump on and it was different than what came on the tractor. Could feel the difference with the hand pump lever with the new pump too. When bleeding with the hand lever each stroke had much stronger flow.

Also check the engine oil and see if it smells strong with diesel fuel. Those lift pumps can leak fuel in to the engine oil if a small hole comes in the diaphragm. That could be where the air is getting in too.

Sounds like a good place to start. They are not expensive. I have replaced a couple over the years.
