I have a 1946 Standard Twin walking tractor, and one of the connecting rod bearing sets is gone. Can anyone suggest a source for intact connecting rod sets, or someone who pours bearings? I would be willing to purchase a working Twin for parts, if necessary.

Thanks.

I plan to sell my standard twin tractor this summer can any one give a price range to ask? It has a bottom plow and cultivator It starts and runs good the only thing it could use is new final drive wheel seals. They leak when left sitting with the tractor weight on the wheels over a long period. No big deal I was told just top them off with gear oil before using or take the weight off the wheels if you don't want them to leak. It has liquid filled tires. I also have a name and part list of someone in northwest mn. that had what parts he had for sale in a 1969 letter. I had no luck locating the family.

There's aman in KY that has a Standardtwin on rubber with the 10-inch plow. I can email you a picture of it. He hasn't been able to get it running. Hal
PS: I may be able to post a picture.

There's man in sw IN has a Std Twin Convertible
for sale or he did. You can email him at baileytimes4@aol.com. I may have a picture of it. You should post this on Garden Tractor forum.

Here's the Viking G that I bought in 1960 for $15.00 and I'm still using the plow from this tractor on my Wards garden tractor. Hal

I had the connecting rods rebabbited by Federal Mogul 30 years ago when I was restoring some of these tractors. The crankshaft needs to be checked for being egged-shaped or worn by your local auto machine shop. I don't think Federal Mogul does that anymore. There's a company in WV that does rebabbiting, but I'm not sure if they could do your rods. If he can he would need the measurement of the rod journals on the crankshaft after it has been ground to be sent to him. Here's the company and number. Hal

PS: You would need to make sure that oil pump that's used on those tractors is working properly
too.
