long tractor steering gearbox

does anyone have the skemetics on a long 445 deisel 76 year model steering gearbox i think i need bearings or something in it the gears are moving apart turning left i need to know how to get the steering shaft out thanks

In my service manual it looks pretty stright forward to remove the steering shaft. It says to drain the oil by removing one of the side cover lower screws and the threaded plug then remove the steering wheel and shaft key. Remove the screws that hold the top cover on the steering box and then withdraw the cover with steering column and hand throttle. There are a couple of pages of box disassembly, inspection, and assembly. Hope this helps.

thanks does the steering shaft show to be one peice with the steering gear i cant seem to get the shaft out the top with the gear attached

It looks like the side cover must be removed to get the stering shaft out. My manual says to remove the side cover and adjuster as an assembly then withdraw the steering shaft and worm.
