Just looked at a little SK for sale, nobody there but the sign said it's a 1939, sn 4236. the tin is real good, it has a cast grill with the SK name on it, also the rear wheels are solid centers with the SK cast on them it also has four new tires. I want to go back and hear it run but I realy don't know a whole lot about SK's except I'd like to have one. Can anyone tell me what model this could be, anything to look for and what something like this is worth if it dose run good. Thanks

Serial number down on the left agrees, a 1939. go to tractor links, web pages have plenty of info.

With four wheels and on rubber it could be a R42 or R48. The model will be on the tag on the transmission. It should have the herkcules ixb-3 engine and the larger radiatior in the newer cast grill.I have seen a wide range of prices on ones i have seen sell. A near running but unrestored one sold for 2000. 15 years ago i saw a restored one sell for 1500. I have seen good looking ones for sale at 3500 to 5000 don't know what they actually went for.

Larry, One minor correction and one addition. The models of 4 wheelers could be a R38 or R44, R380 or R440. With that serial number that tractor could have the small wheels on the back, but have a continnetal engine.

Signed: The owner of a SK 340 (3 wheeler with 36 inch rubber on the back).
