I have developed a leak in the area of the high pressure [3] fittings that connect the lines to the injectors. the leak appeares [not sure] to be coming from the inboard fitting. Do these have a crush washer of some kind or O ring etc that seals the fuel fittings or is there some other potential source of this leak. I guess I'll have to find some younger eyes :) Any thoughts would be appreciated. R.

It appears like the leak is coming from a divice called a fuel pressure equalizer. It is item # 97 page 33 section A fig A.IV/7 in my service manual. There is no item shown in my parts book. It is a diaphragm looking disk in hard to see or get to place located on the aft top inboard part of the injector pump main body. I originally thought it was a hp line fitting but with better light and grandson's eyes we think that the diaphram is ruptured and that is where the fuel is coming from. I need some help on a part number please.

My item 97 is called a hydraulic damper. I don't see a "fuel pressure equalizer". I'll see if I can e-mail you a picture from my manual so we can pinpoint the part. I'll do that later.

This is wierd. I called a Farmtrac dealer and he guessed that it was p/n tx11667 by my discription. I looked this # up in my numeral index and it is shown to be listed on pg 75 of the Parts book but it is not shown at all in my parts book on any of the pages that show the fuel injector pump.He does not want to order it unless he is sure it is the right part and I don't want to make two 80 mile trips. Any thoughts any body? R.

I think I have located a used whatchamacalit locally from a scraped f/i pump that I can rob if it is the same part.

Rivers: send me an e-mail and I will forward a picture from my service manual. Then if we can agree on the part of interest I can go to my parts manual and hopefully get you a part number.I don't know how to send an attachment from here.

Some fuel lines do have washer seals. I checked my parts manual and it doesn't show any seals for the injection lines. I have part number for lines just in case you need to replace lines. I suppose you have tried to tighten the line connections.

I don't know for sure about the lines you speak of but on some of the fuel lines on a Long, there are brass washers. Hope this helps.
