Looking for a F H steering wheel to mold

Hi all -

I recently received a request to refurb a steering wheel manufactured by F&H. This was apparently taken from a Thiesen (sp?) tractor originally. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has one in reasonably good shape that we could use to make a mold off of. It wouldn't even be necessary to remove the wheel from the tractor.

I realize that this is a long shot, but it never hurts to ask.

Thanks in advance -

That sounds right, according to the explanation I received from the owner. Apparently, some of these were pretty cobbled together from about anything that was lying around...but there was also a "complete" kit available which came with the steering wheel I mentioned. These are slightly ribbed along the top, covered in bakelite, with the spokes and hub exposed.

If all else fails, I can always use a modified version of our Graham-Bradley mold, as the frames appear to be about the same size. It isn't ribbed along the top, though. It would be nice to get one that's closer to the original frame.

Thanks for the info.
Steve

There were some Thieman tractors in the late 20's and early 30's The company sold a kit made from recycled auto parts and you supplied a car or truck engine to make it work.
