I have three flywheel or clutch covers for Lanz Bulldog. They are 22 inches across. All have imprints which I believe you used to start by hand. Two have three mounting holes and the third has four along with larger center hole. Anybody have any ideas which model they would have fit?

There are number of Lanz and Lanz John Deere tractors that use this sort of flywheel cover/handstart ring.
I have a Lanz 5506 and Lanz JD 2816 both of which have these "covers" but I have a number of friends who are looking for such things.
Would you be prepared to sell them to me so I maybe distribute them to my friends in need.
Pat

Sounds like they're hand wheels off either a 1950+ N, P,or S.The 2 with the 3 mounting bolts sound right but the one with 4 could have been adapted to bolt onto somthing else, my guess an earlier n p or s with the larger shoe clutch or early plate clutch, wich would explain the larger center hole, for the end of the crankshaft to petrude through, dont quote me though.
Good luck and all the best for xmas,

Thanks for the help. Do they have any value? I was going to put them on Ebay as they are no use to me.

I would say their value isnīt more then 20$, cause they belong to a small semi diesel and not to a bulbhead. Remakes of this parts are easy to get new, in some parts of the world.
