Has anyone ever done a brake job on one of these? The one I have here appears to be out of adjustment completely. Now, I've had one guy tell me you have to pull the final drive housings, but another guy said you could fish the bands up through the inspection covers - which is correct?

I have changed brakes on a 445 and a 360, same tractors just smaller. You will have to pull the wheels and the final drive. There is an 8mm (I think) bolt or allen head screw that locks one end of the band in the housing. After you remove it, the band will come out. There are adjustments under the foot rests. You can check these to make sure that there is no adjustment left. There is also swivel tightening bolts under the inspection plates on the under side. Make sure that they are tight. I had one on a 360 to rust or freeze up once. Make sure all the linkage from the pedal to the brakeband moves freely. WD 40 got mine going again.

Also, change the final drive oil seals in the transmission case while you are in there.
