Thanks Roy for the info I will contact the site and try to get hold of the CD that seems to be the same as the book you have, but on CDR.
In fact this one is very narrow just about 1m, and so I think it must be a Vigneron. How many does the book say were produced of this model?
This one will be our 2006 restoration project. We are at the moment in the middle (literally) of a restoration of Lanz 5506.
Best wishes and thanks
Pat

Pat,
Yes I agree, that tractor of yours could be a Vigneron :-
YL-L(Normal-routier) 2.75m X 1.30m X 1.34m wieght 1450kg
YL-E(Vigneron) 2.75m X 0.90m X 1.34m weight 1200kg

It says 529 Normal-routier types were built but strangely, no production figure is given for the Vigneron model. If you want the CD you may have to go to a Claas dealer for it. The books are beautifully put together.I got mine from Amazon France.
Regards
Roy

As a matter of fact I have just bought the 2 volume Encyclopaedia of Renault Tractors. They are only available in French, which is not my first language, but according to volume 1 the YL was built between January 1933 and June 1938. Only 529 were built, not including the vineyard version. Powered by a 4 cylinder 1480cc water cooled 20hp petrol engine.
When we got out of farming we sold our 1983 781s tractor and I wish I had not. Only 1107 of those were built (plenty of red 781 tractors but not later transitional "yellow" 781s model we are all wise after the event).
Please find below the link for the Renault tractor Society.
Regards,
Roy.
