I am looking for a Tillotson Model YC6A carb to fit a 1948 BF Avery Model V. I've contacted all of the Avery parts guys I can find and no one has one. If you don't have one, then please keep an eye out for one at any of the shows you attend.

The number should be stamped on the pot metal bowl. It would be on the back side when the carb is mounted.

Will use some carb cleaner and the aircompressor to see if I can find something tomorrow. Is the aircleaner to the left or the right of it? Sure is different from what I am used to looking at.

When mounted the air cleaner is to the rear of the carb. Can you take a pic of the one you have?

I know they are tough, but who have you talked to parts source wise and do you have one to start with?

I've talked to several different suppliers, what is the one you are refering too? Yes I have the original carb and the parts I actually need are the pot metal bowl and the float. With those two items I could rebuilt the one I have. The bowl on mine has been hammered on through the years and now won't make a tight seal and lets unmetered air in around the gasket.

How big a hurry are you in? My sister deals with selling stuff over the internet but I don`t. I would have to send photos the old fashioned way. One person i talked to said those carbs were used on model a`s.

If you could find the model number on the one you have it would let me know if it would fit or not. Thanks
