My Grandfather purchased a Rumely Oil Pull in about 1918. A neighbor told me it fired real slow. I think it was a smaller 2 cylinder model. How many speed transmissions did these tractors have?

I run a 1919 20-40 Type G Oil Pull. It has two forward speeds, slow and damn slow. I've had it on a seperator and it was running at approx. 450rpm. The throttle wasn't quite wide open.

My dad used to have to of the 12-20 models and 2 of the 20-40 models. All were 2 speed. Rated RPM on the 20-40 is 450 RPM The 12 20 ran faster. The 16 30 RPM was inbetween the 2. I can look them up tomorrow if you need to know. Also if it was a one cylinder model F it ran 375 and they rotate the opposite direction and only have one speed forward. Questions?

The Rumely 20-40 in my wife's family has two forward speeds, slow and extra slow. It also has one reverse speed.
