I think Frick must have had some kind of a deal to sell Minniapolis tractors. I have a Frick catalog from the late 40's with Minniapolis-Moline Tractors in it.

Frick sold Minneapolis tractors and power units from about 1927 or before. The 27-42's were still in a 1935 price list costing $1020 there were extras, power units 30 hp $985, 42hp $1085. Frick also sold Twin City tractors after 1929 before MM's line came out. They were east coast distributors for MM until MM ended in the 60s.

I have a couple of 27-42s same tractor just bigger engine.I have located a parts book not very much help, but i would say your trator is a late one.I understand these tractor were sold up to 1934,but were left overs after the companys merged,so MM kept on selling them. You can not find much for them i have tried everwhere for operators manuel. The manifolds on most of them are rusted or burned out, they were very thin castings. They are easy cranking, and run out nice.Theres a pic of one in the tractor photos on this site,a man by the name of richard Yoder owns it ,I tried to get up with him no luck.Tell me more may be i can help you some. Another thing to look at is oiler its driven from bottom, very hard to find.

Serial number records were not kept as far as I know. I have a l7-30B and a 17-30 which was the original shorter version. Your tractor should be somewhere around 1927 or l928. Can`t give you any idea of what it is worth without some more information such as appearance or running condition. Mine are very easy to crank start.
