Yesterday I was working on the Silver King some more and broke the needle bearing race that is at the top part of the front fork. The race has a name and part # on it,but how hard do you think it will be to find a new one? Is this a pretty comman part or something special that I probably won't be able to find? Thanks for any help!
Jason

Why not post the numbers?

The # on the bearing says Torrington B-2420

Great: Just go to a bearing supplier and they should be able to help you out. Also with Torrington bearings you also apply the driver on the end where Torrington put their name and number. FYI Torrington has been bought and sold so the new one might not say Torrington on the box.

Thanks for the help. I was able to order one today from a local place. Its there a good way to install these bearings? They look like they could be fragile.

If you can find a driver that fits inside the bearing and has a shoulder that setson the bearing sheel you will be in business. Maybe take it to the local vocational school and have them machine you one unless you have a lathe at home.
