Does anyone know if the bearing for the front fork is a Timken bearing? If it is the # has been wore off. Since the tranny bearings are all Timken I figure there might be a good chance that this one would be also. Has anyone ever replaced the bearing and race on one of these SK's? Everthing came apart pretty easy, but to get the race out of the casting looks like it will be hard. I wouldn't bother with it but both are shot and I would really like to fix it. THanks!!

Fortuneately i had good bearings in mine so i did not record the numbers. You can shrink the race by welding a bead around the inside and you don't have to go all the way around. This will loosen it so it will allmost fall out.

If there is a good number on the back of the race you can often find the cone that goes with it.
