Hi Mike My brother was a Wisconsin collector EXTRODINAIRE, I inhereted his vast colections,
everything from antique single cylinder to the massive v-4 overhead valve 65 horse monster. He also had shop manuals and repair books on various model V-4's, I operate a New Holland Super 77 baler powered by a V-4, I did a mag rebuild on it this last summer, tricky to retime it. If you can send the model and serial No.'s I might be able to tell you the HP of the engine you have. Hope to hear from you Mike A.

The earlier posts have covered the power question well.

Relatedly, I have a nearly new WICO magneto with impulse coupler for a Wisconsin V4, which I plan to sell. Anyone interested before I put it on ebay?

These engines are made in different sizes. Some were 25 and some were 30 HP, as you suspected. Probably other models offered still other ratings. Teledyne still offers these engines new at prices that will take away your breath. Teledyne has a website. But finding a new replacement for an old one is easy, but not low cost.

They put them on a lot of older balers.
I'd say they put out about 25 or 30 horspower, I could be wrong.
Air cooled on the other hand...
