ps i had a guy make some new wood bearings for my old disk harrow. he made them out of a very hard wood. what should i use for lub i tried boiling them in 80-90W oil, for about 10 minutes. a lot of good that did, stunk up to you know where made a mess and the bearings only look a little wet now. would whell bearing grease do the trick or just lots of oil.

We had a couple of edible bean combines that used wooden bearings on the heads. They had grease zerks that we gave a couple of shots every day before use.
