In the early 1970's, my dad had his dad's old garden tractor. I mostly remember it when I was a little older parked out in the weeds, rusting away.
Anyway, I have searched for it on the web and have had almost no luck in finding out anything about it other than that it did in fact exist.
The tractor was, as told to me a

1946 Page Garden Tractor
It had a rear mounted single cylinder Wisconsin engine which I remembered to be painted blue. Not sure if it was original color or not. Dad said it was a 4hp engine.

I have found references to Page tractors, model #'s ZA-6fs and ZA-8fs. I would assume that the number refered to the horsepower rating. The only references were to some old manuals.
If anyone has any pics of one of these or any more information, please reply. I will look around to see if I can come up with any old photos to post.

Thanks
A Brown

Hello,

I found these postings on a forum on Yesterdays Tractors website and I wanted to know anything you can tell me about the Page Tractors.

I, like you, am looking for any information about these tractors too.

My dad had a Page Garden Tractor when I was a boy. (early 60’s).

My dad suffers from Alzheimer’s and is fading. I recently found a few pictures on the internet and sent them to him. He was absolutely delighted.

He confirmed the little tractor he owned was a Page.

I would love to learn more about these and get any pictures available.

I would love to purchase one to restore. Any information you could help me with would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Frosty

I too have a page garden tractor. Mine is a 2 wheel model. It had (i am told a Wisconsin engine) mounted directly to the front of it. I am not sure how it powered itself as it has some sort of aluminum piece that someway engages to turn the tranny. It is a really neat tractor which I can post pictures of tomorrow. It is partially disassembled w/ engine missing. The wheels are individually engaged. I would like some further info on it as well. Here is a pic of one that was for sale on ebay months ago.

That motor looks to be the same as the old one we had.
I remember it had foot pedals; one for each rear tire. I am told it was to disengage the drive to that wheel to allow it to turn. On the frame under the steering wheel was the throttle, and a two or three position shifter(?) that had linkage to the gearbox. It also had a similar shifter(?) (for lack of a better term) that would have controlled the belly mounted attachments. The only ones I know he had were the cultivaters and a small blade plow. Sure would be neat to go back where we lived almost 20 years ago and see if it's still there!!!
Would love to see your pics, if you get a change to post them.

I've had them, not sure if I do now. Maybe that sounds silly, but I've got over a hundred small tractors piled up in my barns (one wheeled, two wheeled, some with tracks). I know at least one Page I had or have is one wheeled, called the "Page Bantam." Made by Page Farm Equipment, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Seems I had a bigger one also, I'll have to look around.

I found a few pictures of the Page Garden Tractor like my Dads. I would like to see any pictures others might have. Also, does anyone have information where I might get a restoration project like these? I would love to get one for my Dad before he is beyond remembering. Thanks for everyone responding so far. It is much appreciated!!

If anyone else has information, please post. The one's pictured on the mentioned website had some similarities, but not the same model. Real neat to find they did exist and that there are a few out there yet.

I also have a Page that sounds like the one you have, its in very goog condition, Blue with red wheels and the lettering in the cast is also red. Solid tires on the front. This may not be the original color because I can see a little light yellow paint under this in the worn spots unless this was primer. I'm in the same situation as yourself I have not been able to find any information. D Bogley
