I have been unsuccessful in attempts to locate this part. I am looking for a new, used or replacement radiator for a 1950-1951 Montgomery Wards model HR tractor. The original was manufactured by a "Cord Corp." or "Cord Ind." in Detroit, Michigan. I have not had any luck locating info on that business either. Serial number on the radiator is #4796. If anyone could offer advice on how to locate parts, it would be appreciated. Approximate size of the core itself is about 18 1/4 inches tall, overall height about 24 inches. The top has an odd "cutout" formed in it to allow a hose to lay over the top of the radiator. Please post and I will check back. Or you can email me at Monte_2Hall@yahoo.com

Thank you

Matt: If it looks like the one I just posted in 'parts & pieces', I'd try giving a call to someone in the Custom Club and see if they know someone with a 'spare' . Most of the McCord radiators (as far as the core)are past their life expectancy. I have a couple of phone numbers if you want them. One fellow runs Wards and he may be able to help.

Hey Rick,

link to the pic didn't work. Can you please repost? If you could, send the phone numbers to the email. I'll make some calls. Thanks a lot!

Larry, I'll check on that and post in the next couple of days. Thanks!

Matt

Matt: I reposted in parts- see 1949 Love.
You've hidden your e-mail, so if you want those numbers, you'll have to e-mail me. I won't put them out over open post.

Hey Rick,

Sorry about that. It looks similar. I will check with my wifes Uncle and see if that is the right one. Thanks for the help. In case my email address doesn't show again, please email those numbers to Monte_2Hall@yahoo.com

Thanks again.

By the way, for the other fellow that asked, it is a 6 cylinder HR.

Which tractor do you have? One that looks like a Bf Avery 4 cylinder or one that looks like a custom 6 cylinder.Macord was a major maker of raditors.
