Guys, need a liitle help from someone who know something about Porsche tractors...went to look at a Cockshutt yesterday, and the owner has a Porsche Super dsl in near perfect original condition(still has original rubber), 2nd owner, starts right up and does everything it's supposed to, only problem I see is the paint is a little faded. Anyway, I have never had any interest in them because I have never seen one in person, and my bet is that they would be a parts nightmare...but I am a sucker for a straight old tractor. He MAY be interested in selling it, problem is, neither of us has ANY idea what would be a fair price. Any ideas? Thanks, Pete

All this talk about them being valuble is got me going now. I've got an old farmer next to me that has three Porsches parked in his field. Says they all ran when he parked them, but all had some minor problem he didn't feel like fixing at the time. He offered to sell me one of them last year for $500 and I didn't take him up on it. I've always like weird tractors, and the Porsche stying caught my eye. I was a Deere mechanic for much of my life and got tired of working on green stuff. So, starting fixing up British tractors like IH B275s, Allis ED40s, etc. I had just gotten stuck trying to get parts for my Allis ED40 when I got the chance to buy the Porsche, and subsequently chickened out out - I was afraid of not being able to get parts.

Porsche tractors are quite valuable. A Jr. at auction went to $10,000 and the guy didn't let it go. Know of one other one and this fellow is talking $15,000 before he would even consider selling. The Porsche Jr. is a one cylinder-I think the Super is 3 cyl?? Is this correct?

I have a Porsche two cylinder that is in good running condition that I will probably take around $4000.00 for. It has a small hole in the hydralic line going back to the lift (3 point) that needs to be brazed. Sonny
