I have a mercury two man chain saw. Mdel KB7-AY ser.# 125488 year built 1946 and has 11 hp. Any info on this saw? what is it worth? also I would be willing to sell it. This saw belonged to my dad and I had it running awhile back but it had a gas leak somewere.

The Kiekhafer-Mercury outboard motor corp. Made the engines and Disston made the saw parts of all I ever aw. They were usually called "Mercury-Disston" they were a very smooth well balanced alternate firing twin cylinder engine. They were usually too expensive for most loggers around here. There were some early models that had a hand operated clutch and they used a huge bow or bar and were soon replaced by one man saw in rhe mid to later 50's and early 60's Gene

I know about that saw, got one up on the farm. Somewhere, I have a copy of the parts book for the engine. The one we have is vertical 2 cyl with Fairbanks mag. Let me know if you are near by. Could use a spare. Got ours at a sale for ?$10. with another 2 man saw. George
