try removing the starter and taking it to an automotive electric repair shop that specialize in starters, alternators and the like. they will either set you up with a rebuilt unit or rebuild yours for a cost well below that of a new unit, especially from a Satoh parts supplier. good luck, RC

I would like a ball park figure on a "ring gear & pinion" set, for the front
diff. of a "Satoh Buck, Mod.#S-470D,
S/N S470D-00611"

I would also like to know the year of Mfg.

I need a voltage regulator for the same model tractor. I live in the Columbus, Ohio area and my Mother, who has the tractor, lives in central Penna. Is there a dealer near either of us? Will a regulator from another tractor, such as a Kubota etc. work?

Satoh parts can be found through Charlie Livermoore (716)526-5827 Canidauga N.Y. He works out of his home so please call during day time hours. He has helped me out alot. Good luck!!!
