Are the fenders for the cockshutt/Co-OP 30,40,50 (e3,e4,e5) all the same? I have located E4 without fenders and need to know what is needed to replace them. Set of 30 fenders on E-bay at this time and the seller claims will fit 30/40/50
just want to be sure

Sorry about the bad advice I truly thought they were the same, but I defer to Phil's expert opinion as he is much more knowledgable on these babies than I will ever be. Nobody is perfect, as the wife likes to remind me regularly.

Hello,

The COCKSHUTT 30 clam shell style fenders are DIFFERENT!!!

The length of the "30" mounting angle braces at the bottom are SHORTER than the 35-40-50, 550-560-570-570S.

The actual fender tin size is the SAME on ALL.

The larger tractor fenders will fit a "30" but will look a bit out of wack because they will stand taller.

Spacers are REQUIRED when installing the clam fenders on ALL the above tractors.

The early fenders have smooth tin. In 1953, COCKSHUTT added a (one)vertical center stiffening crimp to all the clam shell style fenders.

I have a 30 and a 40 and the fenders are the same. From what I have seen the 30 has square shims between the mount bracket and the axle, but the 40 does not.

Cockshutt 35, 40 and 50 are essentially identical tractors except for the engines, so no problem on fenders there. 30 is a smaller tractor, so don't know. Someone will check in soon with the answer, I expect.
