I have noticed that the relative dealer price on an older white 100 is often higher than that of a comparable but newer Agco 6105. What might account for the price equity? It seems to me that the older tractor should be worth less or I missing something?

there is just no comparison 6105 are not even in the same league as the 100.the 100 series tractor was the best series of tractor ever built.I work at a white dealership and I can say there is a pile of whites around here with well over 12000 hours on them with very few repairs at that I wish that was the case for the 6105 but it is not most of them are junk

The only thing I can think of right off is the airconditioning never works very well, and theFWA tires are 30" very expensive.Hyd control levers are a little to far back to be comfortable. I wouldn't be afraid to buy another 6105. Not many around my area.

Ive got a 6105 white FWA with loader they were made in italy for white AGCO got 6000 hrs and only thing ive done is put a clutch , and water pump so far. ENgine uses no oil and has quick start either shoot on it so it starts very quick.
always been on loader here but bet it would be fine for pulling too. Hurliman made an identical one with diff paint, and almost ientical one for allis AGCO painted orange. I never had a white 100 though

6105 is a SAME built tractor, they were not a bad tractor, just different. A 100 is true White, good tractor, just lacked power, tractor was too heavy for power output.....needs the turbo put on like a 120. Depending on what a person is doing, I would rather have the 6105 for loader work, and the 100 for row crop or hay work.

I helped a neighbor pick the 120 parts from AGCO's parts bin to put a turbo on his White 100.
He turned it up to 145 HP and loves it. That was over 10 years ago; still has it.

The 100 is a much more desirable tractor to own, thats why the price is higher. The 100/Workhorse series tractors are some of the finest built tractors in their day, and to a White user, pry the best. I'm unsure on what brand of engine is in the 6105, and if those smaller 6000 series units are even Agco built, but they've never got me too interested. A 6125 or 6145 would be very nice, but I'd take a 100 over a 6105 right away. The Cummins and time proven White tractor behind that makes the tractor.
