What might a 1950 FDL Cletrac crawler which has sat in the woods for the last 25 years be worth? It is on the west coast and I will have to ship it to Texas. Worth the freight charge? Less? More? Or do I just need my head examined as my bride seems to think? I appreciate your thoughts and time.

Have you seen it? This is a huge machine-- 15 tons. I would love to have one. If it is complete and in restorable condition, I'd say it is definitely worth it. They didn't make very many of them, you know-- not like the dime-adozen D-7 and D-8. The FD was one of the first tractors to test at over 100 hp at Nebraska. If you want to see an old company studio photo of the FDL, email me and I'll send it to you. I scanned it out of an old magazine. So tell me, have you seen this machine in person or in photos, and is it complete? is the engine stuck, what's missing, what's broken?
