Hi Everyone;

My Cockshutt 30 Gas has always been easy to start. I tried the other day to start it at around 32 degrees F and she was difficult to start(had a pan heater on her for 8 hrs)and when she did start she spewed oil out of the exhaust manifold and muffler. She quit shortly after and she will not restart(still cold outside).Oil press has always been good. Plugs were carboned,but not oil soaked. Any ideas? Thanks! BN

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your replies! The oil looks to be normal(no fuel or other contaminents).

As regards to the engine breather..is this the vented cap on the oil filler or something else? I'm afraid that I have not had time to investigate further. Thanks! Brent

Did you check the oil? I had that happen one time and the fuel pump had filled the crankcase full and I didn't know it and it built up too much pressure.

Brent;

If you are talking about one of those magnetic heaters, well I never cared for those. As for spitting oil, is your engine breather plugged?
