Ollie is fresh out. I have a need for both housings. I do belive you could switch the housing or rather it would fit either 990 or Super 99.So I would be happy to come up with an extra oliver-GM Detroit-housing,I'm building a spare engine.

True enough. Both the Super 99 and 990 bell housing are unique to the tractor application. The bell housing on the Super 99 is only slightly different than a standard DD bell housing because it has been recessed to accommodate the generator on the side. The 990 bell housing is much different and fits in to the tractor better. I have a 990 bell housing but I believe shipping would be a killer because I'm on the west coast. I'm guessing you are on the east. I think you could use either bell housing and most people wouldn't notice the diffence but a few would.

Did you measure the bolt pattern? Are those bell housings a standard SAE numbered bellhousing?

NO, They are "OLIVER" exclusive. Everyone that has ever researched the bellhousing, always comes back with the same answer....Find a parts tractor.

The bellhousing for a Super 99 and 990 are completely different. You may want to be specific so you get the right one. Which one do you want?
