How does the front pulley come off the 153 buda engine? I can"t seam to get it to slide off the crankshaft without bending the pulley. Also where does someone get sleeves and rings for a Cockshutt 30.

Roger,

I have almost all the new parts on stock that you will need for a rebuild or overhaul of your buda 4B 153 gas engine.

Please email or fax me your list for a quote.

If you don't have a puller then loosen front motor mount apply a little heat to center of pulley and try prying on mount trying to keep even pressure with 2 prybars. The sleeves and rings are available at NAPA or any good engine shop. Depending on size I have a lot of good used ones.

I have put a puller on the pulley and heated the hub. It won't move. I don't have a spec book but what is the diameter of the rod journals and main bearings?

I never did get my pulley off either, with out destroying it, had to cut it off. Phil has new ones machined from one piece of steel, very heavy, nice, not the stamped originals. Main journal diameter is 2.4975 and rod journal diameter is 1.998 with 1.5 to 3.5 Clearance for both.
