I got my first Oliver today. Well my wife did. She says it's her's. I just get to pay for and restore it. Anyways it's a Rowcrop 66. Some of you might know me from the Farmall or Tractor Talk pages, but if not I am sure I will have lots of questions for you. I know my way around a Farmall and a Allis Chalmers fairly well, but not Oliver. Well anways I justed wanted to introduce myself and I will be talking to you all. Bill {Antique Acres}

Bill , My uncle had a farmall tractor.I had , and still do have Olivers.At one time I said to him , if you ever drove an Oliver you would sell the farmall.That's just what happened.One day I had sold him a Oliver tractor.It wasn't long after that , the farmall went down in the front yard with a "For Sale" sign on it.Years later he was looking to buy another tractor.He bought a farmall "M" from a man down the road.After that , he bought 2 more Oliver tractors.Once again , the farmall went down the road.I don't think he will be buying any more farmalls right away.I'm not saying you will be selling your farmalls.But you will know why they had the slogan "THE FINEST IN FARM MACHINERY".This is a true story that I thought you would like to read.Good luck with your first Oliver. Congrats Bill, You will not be disapointed. It appears your wife has excelent tastes. During the restoration you will see why Oliver IS The Finest in Farm Equipment. Each Oliver tractor was built with pride in knowing they set the standard by which ALL others were measured. Many of the Fleetline (66,77,88) are still in working service today, 35 to 40 years after they were built. Don't be surprized if Highboy is right, you will want more.

Congrat's there Bill. You will need to get to know Wright Brothers in Borden, IN. There is only one brother now, but he can answer all your questions. I am in Palmyra, so let me know if you need anything.
