will the 354 perkin fit in 880 and what mods will it take thanks

No. The 354 is exclusive to the 1850. The frame is totally different. The Waukasha engines mount with 4 bolts. The Perkins uses two in the rear and a single bolt in the center in front with a rubber mount that goes around the front cover behind the front pulley. You can't even put a 354 in the frame of an 1850 gas.

It can be done but not with the oliver 1850 mounts. You have to do a lot of custom work as well as cutting the waukashau mounts out of the tub in the back. It takes a bunch of work.
