HI GUYS,I need some help.I recently bought a old "OLIVAR" DIESEL TRACTOR, the old man that sold it to me says he thought it was a 1954 model. It was setting outside for a couple of years and we could't get it to start.I have a tractor repair man who will try to work on it,but he is mainly a FORD man.The only numbers I could find on this was a metal plate on the transmission. the first set reads 45-0057 under those numbers are 115 9 9-519 can any of you guys tell me what I have here? There is no model name or anything else.If anyone can help me and if you know, where can I get a manual.both a owners and repair.I would like to get this up and running. THANKS BOB HARPER DE SOTO MO.

The first numbers that you listed "45-0057" tell us that it is a model 550.   The second set of numbers "117 9 9-519" is the serial number.   I am assuming that you can not read the number between the 9s.   Based on what you listed it was built in 1961.

Thanks for the reply.I must have wrote down a wrong number. THE SECOND SET OF NUMBERS ARE 115 9 9- 519 IT DOESN'T LOOK AS THOUGH THERE ARE ANY NUMBERS BETWEEN THE 9's JUST EMPTY SPACE.SO DO YOU STILL THINK IT IS A 550 MODEL BUILT IN 1961? DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET MANUALS FOR IT.I WANT TO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME TO WRITE ME. BOB HARPER

I can't help by way of those numbers but if you look in my web site you might be able to see what it is since I have a few pictures of ones that it could be other then what I have are all gas burners but a diesel will look just about the same. I also sent you an e-mail and I do have the manuals for that tractor if in fact its a 1954 model year
