The mechanic removing the rims busted a piece off the cast iron rear hub. The piece contained three of the lug nut holes used to mount with. I saw on ebay a #167930A hub that is claimed to work on the RC66. Any input on this or advise? Can cast iron be welded? Is there a more up to date parts manual for the oliver that reflects the 167930A number vs. the L-704? Any help/info would be appreciated.

Thanks, Garry

Welding is out! I"ve found a M-704-B on ebay that goes on a 77. Does anybody know if the M-704-B and the L-704 are inter-changeable?

I'm not up on the letter prefixes, just know different letters are different models. I'm gonna guess if an L is a 66 prefix,an M won't work. The 66 has smaller axles than a 77 or 88.

I"m the lone Oliver in what seems to be JD country! I am located north of Austin, Texas, outside a small town called Liberty Hill. I"m so remote the cable company has not made it out here yet and Google Map can not find us! It sure is peaceful!

My opinion, Don't weld a hub.
