66 runs and idles well but when idling after a few minutes tends to speed up. Doesn"t matter if hot or cold. Tweak the throttle down a little and it slows back down but then speeds back up after a couple of minutes. I don"t think it"s the carb because if I hold the lever between the gov & carb still, it keeps idling well. Thanks

If adjusting doesn't work, there as a brass washer behind the gocvernor gear that goes bad. Now,to adjust it,you'll probably have to take the air cleaner off to get to things. Unhook the rod that goes from the governor to the carb at the gov. Pull the throttle down all the way as if it was wide open. Open up the butterfly on the carb to wide open. Now adjust the rod so that it is just about a third of the diameter of the rod ahead from sliding smoothly back in to the hole in the arm on the governor. If that brass washer isn't bad, that should do it.
